In 1992, Rick Elias photographed his first group of dancers. Between 1998 and 2001, he photographed series of thirteen ballet photography sessions that came to be known as the "I Want to Be a Ballerina" Ballet Photography Project. In 2005, we began another series of photographs that we call "I Want to Be a Ballerina II". By clicking on an image below, you can see a presentation of select images from these sessions.
